The Moon is Blue
A P Line Los Angeles Transit Lines PCC streamlined streetcar cruises north on Broadway at 8th Street in downtown Los Angeles in 1953, past two of the more noteworthy cinemas of the day: the Rialto and the Tower Newsreel. Just before the mainstream adoption of television, newsreels were still a primary source of visual information, and Los Angeles’ Tower Newsreel theater specialized in continuous newsreel presentation – a progenitor to today’s 24/7/365 cable news coverage.

The only place you’ll see an all-electric PCC with standee windows in a Los Angeles Ry. paint job is in San Francisco, where the Muni has a “tribute trolley” originally from Philadelphia in the two-tone yellow color scheme.
