Pacific Electric Calship Special no. 4604 leads a 3-unit consist, ferrying workers from Los Angeles to the Catalina dock in San Pedro (workers were ferried to the Calship facility on Terminal Island). The image is dated April 4, 1945; “Hangover Square” was released in 1945.

Train is westbound on Ocean Blvd in LGB going to Terminal Island. Thats the UA [United Artist] theater behind the train set and the FOX West Coast is a block further east on Ocean seen in the background. Rare photo!
