1214 in Riverside

Pacific Electric interurban no. 1214 rolls northbound on Market Street in Riverside on April 17, 1939. The Hotel Casa de Anza is in the background; it still exists, as the Santa Cruz Inn.

1214 is actually on Market Street in Riverside. The tall white building seen in the left background over the automobile is the Fox theater. The P. E. depot was diagonally across the intersection from the Fox theater. In a couple of blocks the 1214 will pass the Riverside car barn and enter the right of way of the line to Rialto.
