3080 and 3048 at Vernon Yard

 
Temporary tracks fill Vernon Yard as Los Angeles Metropolitan Transit Authority streetcars are decommissioned one by one at the end of traction service. Here car no. 3080 is powered into a final resting position with a stinger; behind it rests no. 3048. The date is March 31, 1963.
