This photo view was taken just north of Broadway on Hawthorne Blvd. The view is looking north. The Thrifty Dept Story building is still there but is now the T-Shirt Outlet. The Dentist building is still there and still has a dentist in it; the sign on the building even looks the same.
This made plenty of sens they had them on private right of way and speed along when the streets were clogged

Looks to me more like Crenshaw around 50th St
