Los Angeles Transit Lines streetcars lead by no. 1429 at an unknown location on the S Line.

This photo is located next to the old South Park shops at 54th St and Avalon. You can see the facilities at either side of this photo. These S cars are most likely staged to take basball fans home from a Coast League Angels baseball game when the Angels played at LA’s Wrigley Field, located just up Avalon. Note that the dash sign on the lead car reads 7th and Fig. only indicating that the car would only go into downtown where the fans would presumably transfer to another LATL line for their trip home. I am also guessing that LATL would have had a fare taker stationed on the ground at the ball park to help load passengers into these cars faster following the game.
