More likely just west of the Rialto station (which is still standing, but is now a restaurant). Same photo is on the cover of “Interurbans Special 36”.
The track is still in place, and there are a few switch ties, but the switch was “straight-railed” so long ago that the replacement rail blends in with the original 1912-1914 installation.

Without a doubt, looking east @ Rialto Jct. in Rialto. With Riverside Ave. in the background and the PE Rialto depot out of sight across the street behind the 1209.

My grandmother and I stood at this location in Rialto around 1962 and watched a pair of SW8s switch the Sunkist plant, the sole reason for its existence. I wonder if the crew was aware of the short future of this track, and the little boy and his grandma watching, as the train used both legs of the wye ony to fetch two ice-block reefers. He was westbound and it wasn’t necessary. The wye and all stem trackage was removed in. 1964. Sigh.

That’s the junction at Riverside Avenue in Rialto. The camera is facing East.
