This “woodpecker’s smorgasbord” went by my house in Monrovia every Monday afternoon. I used to think it CLEANED the trolley wire. It wasn’t until I read about in Interurban Specials that I found its true duty. The car survives at Orange Empire, although years of outdoor storage have taken their toll. After much preparation (including bracing the frame with scrap rail and steel cables), it was moved VERY carefully to Barn 7.
