Please correct the data to read “Northern District”. I don’t think the Eastern District even existed when this photo was taken. I would guess it dates back to the late 1940’s.

Some kind of trick photo? The boxcar body does not appear to be sitting on it’s own trucks, with the front axle almost tucked under the box motor!
