With the SP tracks and the trees of the Mount Lowe mural visible on the right, Valley Boulevard is hidden in the foreground, which makes this picture looking Southbound. The 750 is Northbound, Soto street is on the left.
One of those bridges remained in service into the 1970’s for diesel powered freight service to the Broadway Service Building on Mission Rd.
Bob,
The Northbound bridge is still there, unfortunately the grafittists have almost obscured the Mt. Lowe advertisement.
I have a photo of the Mt. Lowe ad from about 1967, when it was still quite visible. Even without the tagging, it would be hard to read now.
drove by there today and you can see the LOWE in the whitewash, thats about it.
