Pacific Electric outside-braced wooden boxcar no. 2704 sits on a siding in an unidentified location, possibly in the Northern District. Note the 3/24 build date for the car, which remains in well-maintained and freshly painted condition some 18 years later; the image is dated 1942.

Are you sure the dates on the car sides are in agreement with 1942? This car has AB brakes…was it rebuilt from a car with KC brakes? Did it come with 5/4 dreadnoughts originally? What about the strap braces on the end side panels…is that the original configuration?
