Suydams model is of the Southern Pacific EMC-2 class which had Pacific Electric numbers 402, 403, 409 410, 412, 413, 415, 416, 418 and 427. This class consisted of ten cars and any number on a model other than the above is a non-such. Southern Pacific classes EMC-1 and EMC-4 have not been modeled, For modeling purposes, the EMC-2 class had twenty-one side windows as built and the EMC-1 and EMC-4 classes had twenty-two windows as built. When modernized by Pacific Electric, all three classes had a window added at each end and one window was blanked out for a partition. This raised the above window count by one window. These “EMC” classes are interesting and also confusing.

Great information! Can we add footnote detail on the specific sources for the historical references record (inquiring minds want to know).
