Last time I looked, the depot was still there (about a block north of the Amtrak station); it’s now a restaurant.

It is still there. It’s now a micro brewery called Hopscotch.

    Hi

I worked on the historic streetcar rehab projects in SF. I now live in Westminster in OC. The OC Streetcar is due to open next year 2025. I would like to have agencies examine planning to extend westerly down the Westminster Blvd corridor running fr Santa Ana and Westminster on to Seal Beach and Long Beach. There are Federal Small Starts funds to support such planning, incl making it a historic festival line that brings back the PE Railway Red Cars, PCCs, and historic from other cities in the world. Truly exemplifying the international diversity of our population in LA/OC. Westminster Blvd has also been rezoned for commercial mixed with high-density residential, so improving transit and mobility access are critical strategies. Would like to meet w your organization and enthusiasts to figure how we might work together. Even if it takes 15 to 20 years, planning has to commence now. I believe if fast tracked, this can babe accomplished in 5 years. Thank you. I look forward to hearing back.
