Los Angeles Metropolitan Transit Authority (ex-Pacific Electric) streetcar no. 1812 cruises through an unnamed residential location likely in the Southern District as part of a railfan special in the 1956-1959 timeframe. Note the railfan-requested “Subway Terminal” destination sign.

Looks like Compton (electric utility overhead looks like SCE, not DWP, and some of those houses may have survived to be seen from the Blue Line). Date would be 1958 or 59; and 59 is more likely given the “weathered” MTA decal. Car 1812 survives at Orange Empire, stored in Barn 7 (not on public display). One thing’s for sure–the car hadn’t been inside the Subway Terminal for several years! (note headsign–railfan humor)
