I believe the caption should read “Express unit 498 is the trailing unit”.

Most of us know that PE 498 is preserved at Orange Empire. It is presently undergoing a restoration (after all, it is over 100 years old, although PE gave it a major overhaul in 1947. And to be more precise as to what type of car it is, we should probably call it a “combine” or “combo”.
