According to Part IV of Interurbans Special 16, The Southern District, in regard to the Strauss Bascule bridge, said: “Only the westerly track was electrified; hence PE had only a single track line across the bridge—a serious bottleneck on numerous occasions.” The photo shows PCC 5028 moving southward across the bridge.
