This is not the Ocean Park Car House. It is the Ocean Park Substation. The Car Barn was made of Wood.
Thanks for the correction. However the date is May 9, 1948 not 1940.
May 1940 would definitely be an error–there’s a 1941 Chevy in the photo. Also, the substation appears to be out of service. Could it have been replaced by a newer building, or were the wires rerouted into conduits? Being a retired Edison employee, I notice things like that.
